Biokompozitní materiály v nábytkářství
Kopecká, Magdaléna
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of using biomaterials as an alternative substitute for non-renewable materials and raw materials to ensure future ecological sustainability. The referential biocomposite chosen as an alternative to non-renewable materials was fungal mycelium. The basic properties of this biomaterial, the method of production, and the safety requirements are described in this thesis. Furthermore, selected tests of physical and mechanical properties were undertaken. There tests included moisture, density, swelling and determination of transverse tensile strength perpendicular to the plane of the board. All measurements were carried out in accordance with ČSN, the tests results were described and statistically verified.
Posouzení využitelnosti vybraných listnatých dřev pro výrobu kompozitu na bázi dřeva
Mišičák, Patrik
The bachelor thesis deals with the assessment of the usability of alder and aspen wood for the production of wood-based composite, specifically the production of OSB. It uses the experimental analysis carried out to evaluate the applicability for sheating materials of timber frame structures. First section reviews particleboard with a focus on OSB. It summarises the importance, use and production of OSB panels and focuses on alternative raw material types for the production of wood-based composites. Describes the various technological processes involved in the production of OSB. The second part focuses on the individual production operations and shows the measurement procedures carried out. It also illustrates the determined data and the statistical methods applied to them. Based on the statistically processed data of selected physical and mechanical properties of the manufactured boards, it compares and evaluates the determined values with the requirements specified in standard ČSN EN 300, corresponding to the given application.
Experimentální mechanická analýza konstrukčního prvku LSL s mechanicky diferenciovanými vrstvami
Jadrný, Radek
The thesis is focused on the use of alternative wood in the form of wood waste for the production of wood-based structural composite material. Adverse conditions lead to the deterioration of wood quality, thus generating a larger proportion of waste, which is very important to recycle in terms of storing harmful carbon. Therefore, this thesis deals with the production of the latest strand agglomerated structural material such as Intrallam (LSL) which is almost unavailable and unknown material for the country. For the experimental mechanical analysis of the LSL structural element with mechanically differentiated layers, spruce and larch wood strands were produced with parameters corresponding to those of commercially used strands with dimensional variation of 0.7 - 0.9 mm thickness, 20 to 50 mm width and 300 mm length. For the production of one LSL board, 90% of the strands with a fraction x > 10x10 mm and 10% of the strands with a fraction 5x5 < x < 10x10 mm were used. Larch (REF-MD) and spruce (REF-SM) reference Intrallam and Intrallam with mechanically differentiated layers (MDV) were produced for the research work. The surface layers of the MDV Intrallam were composed of larch strands and the core layer of spruce strands. To ensure excellent mechanical, physical and chemical properties, the LSL was bonded with polymer methylenediphenyl-diisocyanate (pMDI) at a strand moisture content of 7%. The manufactured LSL samples were subjected to mechanical tests – bending with DIC, internal bond strength, shear strength and compressive strength. The results showed that larch wood is a very favorable alternative wood species for the production of structural agglomerated materials.
Hustotní profil a jeho vliv na vlastnosti třískových desek
Matyáš, Michal
The goal of this thesis is to determine properties of manufactured particleboards with different percent content of recycled wood. The objective was to determine density values, thickness swelling, moisture content, internal bonding, bending properties and vertical density profile of particleboards. The research question was to report the effect of different percent content of recycled wood on final properties of particleboard. The own method was established and various particleboards produced. The properties of materials were tested according to EN standards and by descriptive statistics, analysis of variance (ANOVA) and linear regression evaluated. In summary in research it was observed that percent content of recycled wood has little impact on final properties of particleboard, although there were several factors which may have affected these results. These factors are described in this thesis.
Posouzení kvality lepení u kombinovaných kompozitních materiálů na bázi dřeva
Krejčí, Filip
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to evaluate the bonding quality of wood-based composite materials. Chipboard panels from various manufacturers with representation in the Czech Republic will be selected. In the theoretical part will be briefly described the important parts of the production process and the factors influencing the properties of chipboard. In the practical part will be determined the methodology of the experiment and the subsequent testing to determine the physical and mechanical properties of the selected material. The bachelor's thesis will show tables and charts, which will be evaluated and commented in the end for practical use.
Využití recyklovaného dřeva ve výrobě dřevotřískových desek
Havelková, Hana
The research was partially inspired by three-layer particle boards with a density of approximately 600 kg/m3 in various variants. The recycled wood was used for manufacture these particleboards in different portion: 10, 30, 60 and 90%. Of each variant were produced two boards of dimensions 600 x 600 x 12 mm, altogether eight boards. Laboratory produced chips of recycled material and chips of pure wood were separated in the surface and core layer. The chips were separated by sieve analysis. Subsequently they were prepared and processed into boards with different amounts of recycled wood. Also, two boards were pressed from a control chips from Kronospan Jihlava that used in the production mixed chips with recycled wood and which provided a reference desks of industrial production for this research too. The moisture content, density, swelling properties, bending strength, modulus of elasticity and tensile strength were determined on the ten boards produced in laboratories Mendel University in Útěchov and on four boards from Kronospan. Properties were compared with control and reference particleboards as well as between each tested group using Analysis of variance (ANOVA) and descriptive statistics.

Matyáš, Michal
The goal of bachelor thesis is to determine properties of manufactured wood -- based composite panels with particleboard core a different facing overlays. The objective was to determine panel density, thickness swelling, internal bonding and bending properties. The thesis also include general review of the sandwich composite panels manufacturing. The research question was to report effect of different facing material on bending properties considering two level of densities. The own method was established and various sandwich panels produced. The properties of materials were tested according to EN standards and by descriptive statistics and analysis of variance (ANOVA) evaluated. In summary in research were observed that covering material significantly improved bending properties of particleboard, however these properties are also greatly affected by core density.
